The Kikoti Camp Tarangire at the Eastern border of Tarangire
National Park, just a few kilometers outside the park on a
hill in the migration corridor, was reconditioned in 2007
and became an luxury camp. The name Kikoti means" The
place at where life began". It's an unique place for
someone who wants to stay 2 or more days at Tarangire.
The very spacious and stylish tents are on
platforms. Each tent has a generous verandah with two cosy
seats and a small table, from where the sunset of the savannah
of Tarangire can be enjoyed.
Right in the tents there is a bricked corner
equipped with cushions and a table. On the left side one finds
a small desk with a lamp, a handkerchief box, water bottles,
welcome briefcase and a flashlight. In the center of the tent
a beautiful wooden king size bed, surrounded by a mosquito
net.
The bath possesses two beautiful wash basins
and a generous wooden tray surface with a large mirror. Each
tent comes with own toilet and shower with hot and cold water. There
is electrical light, however no plug sockets in the room.
Both of the Veranda and of the tent one has a breath-taking
view on the Tarangire NP.
The restaurant and the beautiful furnished
lounge of the Kikoti Camp are very comfortable and with lots
of stylish details. The Camp offers sometimes a la carte menues,
sometimes buffet. The friendly staff will make you comfortable
wherever they can, and your experiences at this camp will
be truly unique.
The camp is not accessible during the rainy
season, between April and May.
