Vuma Hills Tented Camp, is an easily accessible and attractive camp set in a peaceful location on a rise about 15 minutes from the entrance to Mikumi National Park. “Vuma” translates from Kiswahili to mean “good gossip spread on the blowing wind;” this camp has the right ambiance and peace for you to listen to hear the gossip.

The 16 luxury tents all have a double and single bed, good bathroom, private veranda and each is tastefully decorated in colonial style. The public areas are set around the small swimming pool and with views over the Mkata River flood plains. The lodges is managed by the Fox family and with their Africa experience they have made this a relaxed, unpretentious camp with a cosy feel.

Game activities at Vuma concentrate mainly on open-topped 4x4 game drives however it is possible, dependent on season, to take a walking safari to the source of the Kikoboga River, or daily guided wildlife excursions and culture tours to the nearby villages.
