Savanna and bushland cover most parts of the country, semi-deserts und fertile coast lines cover the rest of the country. The main land lakes cover an area of more than 53.000 sqkm, the largest portion of them belongs to the lakes of the Rift Valley. Climate

The climate in Tanzania is a tropical climate, hot and humid at the coastline, with a rain season from Mid March to May (larger rain season)and in November (small rain season). Very dry landscapes in the high plains (Masai plains, Ngorongoro). In the North Western highlands you will find a cooler and more moderate climate with rain seasons from November to December (small) and February to May (large rain season).
In general the climate on our tours is well-tolerated, because, whenever possible, we stay in the higher located areas of the county with a more moderate climate.
